𝐼’𝓂 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝒸𝓇𝓎𝒾𝓃𝑔, 𝓎𝑜𝓊’𝓇𝑒 𝒸𝓇𝓎𝒾𝓃𝑔. City Surfer Office zve na vernisáž poslední výstavy, která uzavře 15 let fungování galerie. Instalace TERRIBLE SPEED je výstupem dvouměsíční rezidence pro mimopražské emerging umělectvo, kteoru přímo v galerii v březnu a dubnu 2026 absolvoval malíř Maroš Bavoľár. Vernisáž začíná v 19:00, v rámci večera vystoupí Marie Vařeková.
Maroš Bavoľár (*2000), narozený v Košicích na Slovensku, je studentem Fakulty výtvarných umění v Brně (FaVU VUT), kde aktuálně studuje v Ateliéru malby III. Základem jeho praxe je současná maskulinní zkušenost, jejíž reprezentace se v malbě a kresbě pohybuje mezi polohami bolesti a utrpení, zároveň je však nahlížena s ironickým odstupem a jemným nadhledem. V centru jeho zájmu stojí také témata zranitelnosti a citlivosti, kolektivní queer zkušenosti, homoerotiky a sexuality. V současnosti žije v Brně a zúčastnil se několika menších samostatných i skupinových výstav na Slovensku a v České republice, včetně prezentací na uměleckých festivalech.

City Surfer Office invites you to the opening of its final exhibition, which marks the end of the gallery’s 15-year run. The installation TERRIBLE SPEED is the result of a two-month residency for emerging artists from outside Prague, which painter Maroš Bavoľár completed at the gallery in March and April 2026. The opening begins at 7:00 p.m. A music performance by Marie Vařeková will take place as part of the event.

Maroš Bavoľár (*2000), born in Košice, Slovakia, is a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno (FaVU VUT), where he is currently studying at the Painting Studio III. His practice is based on the contemporary masculine experience, whose representation in painting and drawing ranges between pain and suffering, yet is viewed with ironic detachment and subtle perspective. His interests also focus on themes of vulnerability and sensitivity, collective queer experience, homoeroticism, and sexuality. He currently lives in Brno and has participated in several smaller solo and group exhibitions in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, including presentations at art festivals.
