CZ — „Možná vzniknou slova, která budeme vnímat jen zrakem” je jednodenní událost, kombinující formát výstavy a performativního čtení. Autorkou koncepce je Elena Pecenová, která si ke spolupráci přizvala spisovatele a spisovatelky Zofii Baldygu, Terezu Bínovou, Ondřeje Buddeuse, Jana Horského, Petra Šestáka, Marka Torčíka a Irynu Zahladko. Možná vzniknou slova, která budeme vnímat jen zrakem a na nás bude, naučit se je číst.
EN — “Perhaps words will arise that we will perceive only with our eyes” is a one-day event combining the format of an exhibition and a performative reading. The concept was created by Elena Pecenová, who invited writers Zofia Baldyga, Tereza Bínová, Ondřej Buddeus, Jan Horský, Petr Šesták, Marek Torčík, and Iryna Zahladko to collaborate on the project. Perhaps words will emerge that we will perceive only with our eyes, and it will be up to us to learn to read them.
Biography
CZ — Elena Pecenová (*1994) se ve své praxi zabývá performativním uměním a současnou literaturou. V současné době rozvíjí žánr uměleckých novel. Publikovala dvě básnické knihy Jako bych očima fotografovala stále ty stejné snímky (NAVU, 2022) a Na cestu zpět si zapínám skryté titulky (Adolescent, 2023). Je členkou uměleckého kolektivu PGS. Do roku 2021 působila jako šéfredaktorka digitální kurátorské platformy pro současnou poezii Psí víno a nadále zde působí jako kurátorka. Je finalistkou literární soutěže Františka Halase a je také držitelkou ocenění v mezinárodní literární soutěži Básne SK/CZ 2019. Její performance byly představeny na přehlídkách jako jsou Pražské Quadriennale, FACT FESTIVAL v Budapešti či na festivalu Next Wave v divadle Komedie v Praze. Její videa byla prezentována na Marienbad Film Festival a ve Screensaver Gallery v New Yorku. Byla rezidentkou v centru pro současnou performance Katapult v Berlíně, v Art Center Bakelit v Budapešti.
EN — Elena Pecenová (*1994) focuses on performative art and contemporary literature in her practice. She is currently developing the genre of artistic novellas. She has published two books of poetry, Jako bych očima fotografovala stále ty stejné snímky (As If I Were Photographing the Same Pictures Over and Over Again, NAVU, 2022) and Na cestu zpět si zapínám skryté titulky (I Turn on Hidden Subtitles for the Way Back, Adolescent, 2023). She is a member of the PGS art collective. Until 2021, she was the editor-in-chief of the digital curatorial platform for contemporary poetry Psí víno (Dog Wine), where she continues to work as a curator. She is a finalist in the František Halas literary competition and also a winner of the international literary competition Básne SK/CZ 2019. Her performances have been presented at events such as the Prague Quadrennial, FACT FESTIVAL in Budapest, and the Next Wave festival at the Komedie Theater in Prague. Her videos have been presented at the Marienbad Film Festival and the Screensaver Gallery in New York. She has been a resident at the Katapult center for contemporary performance in Berlin and the Art Center Bakelit in Budapest.
