Kolaborativní projekt vytvořený pro City Surfer Office zkoumá paměť materiálu a jeho schopnost nést stopy minulosti. Skrze proces opravy a přetváření se fragmenty objektů, které dávno ztratily svůj původní význam, znovu rodí – nejistě, s určitou naivní snahou obnovit řád, jenž se stává nositelem nové reality.
A collaborative project created for City Surfer Office explores the memory of material and its capacity to carry traces of the past. Through a process of repair and transformation, fragments of objects that have long lost their original meaning are reborn – tentatively, with a certain naive effort to restore order, which itself becomes the bearer of a new reality.
Biographies
CZ — Jakub Lukáš studuje v ateliéru VU1 na pražské UMPRUM. Absolvoval stáže na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze v ateliéru Socha 1 a na Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) v Lipsku. Ve své tvorbě se věnuje malbě i objektu a často pracuje s nalezenými materiály. Zkušenosti z volné tvorby promítá také do architektury výstav, na jejichž podobě se podílí.
František Štípek působí na stáži v ateliéru malby III na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze. Jeho domovským ateliérem je Art and Technology (VU3) na UMPRUM. Ve své tvorbě se pohybuje napříč médii – od kresby a objektů až po videoart. Jeho práce často reflektují společenská a politická témata.

EN — Jakub Lukáš studies in Studio VU1 at Prague’s UMPRUM. He has completed internships at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in Studio Sculpture 1 and at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) in Leipzig. In his practice, he focuses on both painting and object-based work, often utilizing found materials. He also applies his experience from independent art-making to exhibition architecture, contributing to their overall design.
František Štípek is currently undertaking an internship in Painting Studio III at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His home studio is Art and Technology (VU3) at UMPRUM. His creative work spans various media – from drawing and objects to video art. His pieces frequently reflect social and political themes.
